Money Condition causes Paris Hilton’s release…

…I mean “medical” condition. Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune and convict, was released from prison after only serving three days out of a 40 something day sentence. Normally I do not talk about so-called celebrities, but in this case it is more an issue about the justice system in America. How is it that Martha Stewart serves a full term and then several months of house arrest and Paris Hilton gets “transfered to another facility.” Newsflash for the prison system that made this stupid and ignorant, perhaps money driven, decision: A person’s house is not a prison facility…it is there house!! She can sit back, watch cable, and still have parties as long as she doesn’t leave the premises, which is probably larger than most small neighborhoods.

Someone must have received a special grant to the bank account, I mean charity, of there choice. They say that she was depressed, and not eating, and sad…so what! That is what prison is suppose to do. It is suppose to make a person evaluate what got them there and come up with ways to avoid going back. The purpose of the conviction was to administer proper punishment for the crime. Hilton is a spoiled brat that has not been exposed to real life. It is completely unfair for the justice system to function based on the size of a person’s net worth, but it is also inherently “the American way.” The justice system functions based on the prominence of the individual or the bank account of the individual. Hilton joins the ranks of O.J., Jayson Williams, Robert Blake, Ted Kennedy and many others that got off easy when they probably should be serving time. What is that old saying, “money talks…” The courts are simply pay as you go institutions these days. You pay the right amount of money and you just might get to go home!
